It's been a while...
Hello! Welcome to my newsletter.
The purpose of this newsletter is to share with you how I handle every day life with ADHD, but without ADHD medication. I will share tips, tools and strategies for you to introduce in to your own life so you too can manage your ADHD.

For those who are new here, welcome! And for those who’ve been signed up for a while, I know I’ve been a bit quiet… but I’m back!
Navigating self-employment has been tough. I won’t sugarcoat it, it hasn’t been easy.
In August 2024, I handed in my notice at my full-time tech job. I’d done well in my career, and up until June, I really loved my role. But as the months went on, the pressure kept increasing. My boss asked more of me every day, and while that wasn’t the main issue, the real problem was that when I asked for support, it just wasn’t a priority for them.
I was clear about what I needed, reasonable adjustments that would have made a huge difference. But when it became obvious that we weren’t aligned, I knew I had a big decision to make.
I’d already started Wild Minds Wellness in May 2024, with a plan to build it up gradually over 18-24 months, all while keeping the safety net of my full-time job. I knew becoming an ADHD coach was my future, I just hadn’t expected it to happen so fast.
Trying to build a business with no regular income (and no backup plan!) is terrifying. Some days, I genuinely wonder if I should just give up.
Then last week, I received this from a client:
“I felt really heard and understood which I feel like is huge for people with ADHD. I feel like I’m often doing a lot of explaining with other people and often feel like what I’m saying will just be dismissed as “weird” or “overdramatic” but Carly’s made me feel really safe to be vulnerable and honest. I really appreciate how transparent and caring she is. I feel genuinely supported.”
And this is exactly why I won’t quit.
Life with ADHD is hard. If I can make it even slightly easier for someone, then every struggle, every risk, and every challenge will have been worth it. As long as I’m helping people, I’ll keep building this business—no matter how tough it gets.
Oh, and I’m making this newsletter a weekly thing again! Expect it in your inbox every Thursday at 9AM.
If there’s anything you’d love to hear me talk about, let me know!
